Sibley - Welch Cemetery

This cemetery was transcribed in May 2002 by walking and reading the gravestones.  There are gravestones missing which are marked in the database as such.  Others are broken and/or worn and marked.  The earliest grave is 1852.  NOTE UPDATE: Burial records from 1983 from the township have been consulted  to confirm dates, names, etc.  See corrections. 

A simple map of the cemetery was created at the time of transcription to further aid viewers to see where the graves lie in relationship with others in the cemetery.  The map numbers show relationships as some stones contain names of other family members. 

Section 19 Seville Twp. Gratiot Co. Michigan original cemetery was on George J. Sibley property and was a private cemetery called Pelton or Riverside. (from Proceedings of Board of Health of Township of Seville 1876-1915)
